Superstock is owned and operated by the Griffith family.

The Griffith family have a long association with the baking and food industry in Western Australia spaning three generations and started back in 1934 when Keith Griffith joined a bread bakery in Bunbury WA.

Brent Griffith followed his father into the food industry as a food technologist managing a number of Australian and Western Australian iconic bakery and food service companies and brands through the 80’s and 90’s.

History

Superstock commenced as a grain and seed merchant in 1986 and was acquired by Brent and Suzanne in 1997 when they identified the need for a passionate and local service orientated distributor to service the needs of the smaller bakeries in Perth who were being overlooked by the large national based suppliers. Commencing with dry goods only Superstock then moved into chilled and frozen goods in 1998 which rapidly grew requiring the second relocation of Superstock in as many years.

The development

Superstock joined the Countrywide buying group in 2000 which saw the company take its first steps into food service requiring the acquisition of additional warehouse space. In 2005 due to ongoing growth and the inefficiency of operating out of four warehouses Superstock relocated to its present site in Mumford Place Balcatta and constructed a substantial coolroom and freezer complex.

Superstock has now developed into one of Western Australia’s leading independent food service operations offering a very wide range of products to customers through out the state  while maintaining their personal and reliable customer service.

The third Griffith generation has moved into the food industry with Aaron Griffith now Managing Director leading the business to the next level.
